The Czech online business has recently seen significant personnel changes that will affect one of the biggest players on the market, Slevomat. Ladislav Veselý, the long-time director of this popular discount platform, recently announced his departure on parental leave. He is to be replaced by Tomas Braverman, former director of Heureka and one of the prominent figures of the Czech e-commerce scene.

Tomáš Braverman, whose accession to the head of Slevomat has not yet been officially confirmed, expressed his enthusiasm for this news. He said that he is delighted to join the Slevomat team and work with talented individuals in the e-commerce industry. Braverman also stressed that he believes in the huge potential for further growth of the company, which has a strategic position in the market and operates in several countries.

Ladislav Vesely, who has been running Slevomat since 2019, decided to go on parental leave last November. His departure is the latest in a series of changes in the management of the company, which recently went through a turbulent period due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these challenges, Slevomat managed to recover and reported record sales figures for last year, exceeding even the pre-pandemic ones.

Tomas Braverman is no newcomer to online commerce. Prior to his potential move to the head of Slevomat, he ran the price comparison site Heureka, where he managed to significantly increase sales and expand the company’s reach. His experience in leading similar projects puts him in a good position to manage Slevomat at a time when the company is trying to consolidate its market position and expand its services.

Before Braverman takes over as head of Slevomat, the company will be temporarily managed by Matěj Dvorský, who has already spent a year at the company. Slevomat’s management plans to face the growing demand for travel and experience services and further strengthen its position in the e-commerce market.
