China built a highway without a single worker. AI machines have taken complete control

A milestone has taken place in China that could change the future of the construction industry. A 158-kilometre stretch of highway between Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau has been completely rebuilt – without a single human worker. The entire process was handled by fully autonomous machines.
AI-controlled drones, self-driving finishers and robotic rollers took care of everything, working in coordination day and night. As a result, the work was greatly accelerated, costs were reduced and, above all, the risk of workplace accidents was completely eliminated.
At the heart of the system was artificial intelligence, which collected and evaluated data in real time. This enabled a level of precision and consistency in the laying process that humans could not achieve.
But this technological revolution is not just about one road. It shows a new blueprint for the future of infrastructure construction: less human hands, more smart machines. And the question now is – which other area of our daily lives will follow suit?
